This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies on our website, littleclues.app. The LittleClues app doesn’t use cookies. Analytics in the app are described in our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include your browser’s local storage and scripts that send measurements about a visit.

Always on

These are needed for the website to work and stay safe:

Your cookie choice: we save your choice and your region in your browser’s local storage, so that we don’t ask again on every page.
Cloudflare protects the website from attacks and bots, and may set cookies for that.
Google reCAPTCHA protects our contact form and waitlist sign-up from spam. It loads on pages with these forms, may set cookies, and sends Google your IP address and browser details.

Analytics

Google Analytics measures visits and how pages are used. If you haven’t accepted analytics, it sets no cookies and sends only cookieless, anonymous measurements. If you accept, it sets cookies such as _ga.
Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use pages, such as clicks, scrolling and page views, and shows heatmaps. It loads only if analytics are allowed, and sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk.

We don’t use advertising cookies. Analytics never run on the invite, app-link and account deletion pages.

Your region

Cloudflare tells us which country a visit comes from. In the EU, the EEA and the UK, analytics stay off until you accept. Elsewhere, we show a notice and analytics run unless you decline.

Changing your choice

Use the cookie button in the corner of any page to change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as the contact form, may not work without them.
