It Finds the Patterns For You.

Foods get eaten together and symptoms come and go, so the real trigger is genuinely hard to see by eye. LittleClues ranks the foods most likely behind your little one's reactions — and shows its reasoning.

Foods to watch

  • Cow’s milk symptoms followed on 4 of 6 times
    Likely trigger
  • Egg symptoms followed on 3 of 8 times
    Possible trigger
  • Banana symptoms followed on 1 of 9 times
    Unlikely trigger
  • Oat only logged twice so far
    Needs more data

Illustrative example — your rankings come from your own log.

Compared to a baseline

Each food's reaction rate is weighed against how often symptoms happen during food-free stretches — so chronic, everyday fussiness doesn't make every food look guilty.

Find the real culprit

When two foods almost always show up together, LittleClues flags the companion that may actually be behind the reactions — "looks like banana, but check oat too."

On / off pattern check

If a food was paused and symptoms eased, then returned when it came back, that on-and-off pattern is surfaced as stronger corroboration worth mentioning to a doctor.

Breastfeeding-aware

Food your baby ate directly and food that reached them through breast milk are scored separately, on their own timescales — because those reactions don't show up the same way.

Ingredient-level honesty

Log a recipe like "mayo" once and insights still credit the individual ingredients — egg, oil, lemon — so a dish can never hide which component is the real trigger.

Calm on thin data

One reaction after one meal isn't treated as a certainty. The engine smooths small samples and waits for enough signal, so the rankings stay steady instead of crying "trigger" at everything.

These insights are based only on patterns in your own log. They are not medical advice — always check with a healthcare professional about suspected allergies.

Everything You Need

LittleClues helps to reveal patterns between food intake and symptoms

Calendar View

Daily and monthly overview of logged food and symptoms. See the big picture at a glance.

Symptom Search

Find entries by symptom or search for specific foods to trace patterns across weeks.

Allergy Timeline

Visualize when and how reactions occurred across weeks and months on a clear timeline.

Who Consumed?

Choose whether mom or baby ate the food. When mom ate it, LittleClues automatically links her diet to baby's reactions via breastmilk.

Less typing, more tracking

As you log, LittleClues suggests foods and symptoms you've recorded before, so repeating an entry takes fewer taps.

Children & Caregivers

Manage multiple children and caregivers in one app — each with their own name, color, and history, including who is breastfeeding.

Symptom Severity

Rate how intense each reaction is on a 1 - 5 scale. Track whether symptoms are improving or worsening over time.

Meal Reminders

Optional breakfast, lunch, and dinner notifications at times you set, so logging becomes a habit you do not have to think about.

Backup & Restore

Export a backup to Files, iCloud, or Google Drive and restore it anytime. Older backups always restore cleanly into newer versions.

Common Questions

Everything parents usually ask about tracking food and symptoms with LittleClues.

What is LittleClues?

LittleClues is a food-allergy and symptom tracker for parents of babies and toddlers. You log what you and your little one eat and how they feel, and the app surfaces which foods are most likely behind their reactions.

Is LittleClues free?

Yes. All logging, meal reminders, backup and restore, and a preview of the insights are free today. A paid LittleClues Pro tier is planned but not yet available.

Is LittleClues available on iPhone and Android?

LittleClues is available on iOS (including iPad) and Android. The app is currently available only in English, but you can enter meals and symptoms in your preferred language, and the app will remember your entries.

How does LittleClues find food triggers?

It compares how often symptoms follow each food against how often symptoms happen anyway, and ranks foods as Likely, Possible or Unlikely triggers — or Needs more data. These are patterns to discuss with a doctor, not a diagnosis.

Can it track reactions while breastfeeding?

Yes. Food your baby ate directly and food that reached them through breast milk are tracked separately and scored on their own timescales, since those reactions show up differently.

Is my data private?

LittleClues is local-first: your entries, foods, profiles and settings stay on your device. There are no accounts and no server backend. Crash reporting and anonymous usage analytics are optional and can be turned off anytime.

Does LittleClues diagnose allergies?

No. These insights are based only on patterns in your own log. They are not medical advice — always check with a healthcare professional about suspected allergies.

Can I track more than one child?

Yes. You can add multiple children and multiple caregivers, each with their own name and color, and keep a separate log for every child.

Can it remind me to log meals?

Yes. You can turn on optional breakfast, lunch and dinner notifications at times you choose, so logging becomes a habit.

Can I back up or export my logs?

Yes. You can export a backup of your data to Files, iCloud or Google Drive and restore it later. A doctor-shareable PDF report is part of the planned LittleClues Pro tier.
